How do you press tofu quickly?
To press tofu quickly, you can wrap the tofu in a clean towel then set a large plate on the tofu. Flip the plate and put something heavy on top of the plate. Let that sit for 2-5 minutes to let the towel soak up the moisture. Remove the towel and prepare your tofu as directed.
Why do you press tofu?
You have to press tofu before cooking so that more water is released. When tofu is pressed, it splatters less on the pan, turns out crispier, and absorbs more of the marinade flavor.
Can you make avocado toast the night before?
Avocado toast is better when it’s fresh. But there are ways to prep avocado toast. You can mash your avocado, add a splash of lemon juice, and place it in an airtight container overnight. Do not spread avocado on toast and leave overnight, the bread will become soggy. For this recipe, you can also prep your tofu ahead of time. Remove this block, and replace it with the recipe card her
